Merced.  I received my Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina in 2005.  I was a 2004-2005 Ford Dissertation Fellow and received the 2005 Louis Pelzer Memorial Award. Volume under contract with Duke University Press!

We’re excited to announce that the Critical Surf Studies Reader is now under contract with Duke University Press! After some working and reworking of the volume, countless productive conversations with the lovely folks at Duke UP, and some great critical comments from collaborators and contributors, we’re now working through the final manuscript for submission in early 2016! Many thanks to all who have offered comments, levied questions, provided suggestions, and inquired about the project since its inception. We look forward to having the volume available soon! If you’ve stumbled across this page, then you’re likely a contributing author, an interested scholar or student, or an errant surfer who somehow ended up finding the preliminary site that we’ll be using to spread the word about the The Critical Surf Studies Reader (tentative title).
