Since the Critical Surf Studies Reader’s editorial process began, several great initiatives have emerged that intersect with the scholarly and public humanities work that the book’s contributors are engaged in. Cori Schumacher calls attention to Women in Board & Action Sports’ latest initiative

Cori Schumacher –independent scholar, world champion surfer, activist, and contributor to The Critical Surf Studies Reader– has been highlighting some of the powerful work being done by the coalition over at the Women in Board and Action Sports (WIB) organization.
